The “Line Tracking” mode is used for robots operating with a conveyor that continuously transports parts. In continuous transport, the parts do not stop in front of the robot to be painted; instead, they pass in front of the robot without stopping.
This operating mode allows teaching to be carried out with the part stationary. During program execution, however, the part moves continuously in front of the robot, which compensates for the part movement by travelling along its Y axis.
If the conveyor stops, unlike standard part-tracking mode - where the robot also stops and switches off the spray gun - in Line Tracking mode the robot continues painting the part until the painting program is completed.
