Robotic wood finishing for flexible production, consistent quality and easy product changeovers.
Advanced Robotic Painting Solutions for the Wood Industry
In the wood sector, finishing quality depends on the ability to keep gun distance, speed, orientation and product flow consistent, even on edges, profiles, frames and three-dimensional surfaces. CMA Robotics develops robotic systems designed to automate these parameters and achieve repeatable results on products with different shapes and sizes.
CMA solutions are suitable for both serial production and environments with frequent model changes. Programming can be configured to reduce setup times and simplify the management of panels, windows and doors, assembled furniture and complex components.
The goal is to combine aesthetic quality, productivity and flexibility while reducing overspray and coating consumption.
Robotic Painting for Wood and Furniture
CMA Robotics robotic painting system for wooden articles and furniture. The articulated spraying robot accurately follows complex wood profiles, delivering smooth, uniform paint finishes. Automated wood finishing technology cuts production costs, reduces overspray and maintains stable quality on curved, flat and shaped wooden components.
Applications
Benefits of CMA automation
Programming and process technologies
For applications with high product variability, VRT allows the operator to manually paint a sample part while the system records trajectories and commands and sends them to the robot for automatic reproduction. The program can then be modified with Offline Programming without rebuilding the entire cycle.
Offline Programming also allows the cycle to be simulated in 3D and trajectories to be optimized directly from a computer workstation, which is useful when programs need to be prepared or modified without stopping production.
Depending on the application, CMA can also integrate part-recognition and automatic program-generation systems to further reduce manual programming activities.
An effective wood-finishing solution must adapt to product variety. For this reason, CMA combines robots, software and handling systems according to the customer’s actual production mix.
